Based on the data below, I believe Wilson Pierce was born around Aug/Sep 1811 in Georgia.

On the 1850 census (07 Oct 1850), Wilson is 39* and born in (BLANK)**

On the 1860 census (-- Aug 1860), Wilson is 48 and born in Georgia.

On the 1870 census (29 Jul 1870), Wilson is 58 and born in Georgia.

On the 1880 census (10 Jun 1880), Wilson is 68 and born in Georgia.

* - On the 1850 census, although Wilson's age appears to be 37, I believe it is actually 39. The nine is ambiguous, but by comparing it with another 9 and a couple 7's on the same page, I believe it to be a 9. I will look closer at more examples on other pages the next time I get a chance to view the microfilm census records. However, if he were 37 in Oct 1850, that would not work with the dates shown in 1860, 1870 and 1880. Three census records in a row which are all in agreement as to age and place of birth is fairly strong evidence in resolving the ambiguity of the fourth.

** - The place of birth for Wilson on the 1850 census appears to be blank. His wife and children all show ditto marks for place of birth. Those above him also show ditto marks below a person being born in Georgia. Wilson's place of birth may have intentionally been left blank because of uncertainty about where he was born. If so, the ditto marks for his wife and children must be referring up to a person above Wilson. However, if the ditto marks for his wife and children are suppose to refer to Wilson's place of birth,  then his place of birth must have been Georgia since we know his wife and children were all born there.
