I noticed that you are still claiming that your Reuben Pierce was born in Edgefield District, SC. I thought we settled long ago that your Reuben was already in or near Hall County, GA in 1810 when another Reuben appeared in the Edgefield District, SC census. I'm sure he was born in SC in 1768 because of later census records, but what makes you think he was born in Edgefield District? Do you have any proof? Also, why do you continue to refer to "The unknown James H. Pierce?" James H. Pierce is not "unknown." I feel we have sufficient evidence that he existed. We just cannot find any primary source documents in SC. Have you ever tried to find anything in SC?

As for updating and using my database on your web page: I have had a few hits from your web page, but I got a whole lot more from Ancestry.com with whom I am registered. I also get referrals from Hall and Lumpkin Counties web sites and from Dan Pierce. I think your web site is very professionally crafted and adequately circulated, but if you cannot make the simple corrections needed for accuracy, I would just as soon you remove my Pierce line and concentrate on your own.

Regarding the documents you sent: The article from the "Colorado Magazine" was too small and so blurred the pages couldn't be read. And I already had copies.
