Dan Pierce's Topography map of

Hall/Lumpkin GA Counties area

where Pierce land was located

here is his description

"By the way, this is only a small portion of
Lumpkin County north of Hightower Church, which is NW of Dahlonega"

"the roads are marked in purple, the
cemeteries in pink. The cemetery at the lower left is called Pierce
cemetery. It is on land that Wilson Pierce owned and sold to his son Wilson
Jasper Pierce. The yellow spot in the center is where my other
gr-gr-grandfather Rev. Miles M. Roberts lived. The house he lived in is
actually shown on the map (from 1950). East of the Pierce cemetery where a
bunch of creeks come together is the land that A.J. Pierce owned and further
east along Bull Creek. Wilson owned the land to the NW of the Pierce
cemetery along Etowah River. Hightower Church, that I sent you information
about before, would be about an inch off the bottom of the map along
Hightower Church Rd that runs somewhat along the Etowah River."
